We begin here with three powerful tips that you can start to use without having to set aside any extra time. There is no reason why you can’t begin right away.
In fact, you’re not likely to succeed if you delay. If you want to turn stress into happiness and success, this is a great place to start.
As you read these tips, think of the easiest changes you can make that will produce the best results. Also these tips are excerpted from our FREE ebook Down with Stress and Up with Love & Happiness.
Effort you exert to achieve or improve anything when you are feeling bad is a waste of time and energy. It simply won’t work. Stress can only create more stress, which means the key is in the turn around.
You can start to turn things around right now by recalling one of the happiest moments of your life and feeling now what you felt then. Describe it to yourself, maybe even aloud.
Recalling this time should make you feel good now. You may also notice that when you re-experience this happy moment, every cell in your body feels more alive!
To make the most of this idea, add some emotional intensity to your positive feelings. Get excited about feeling good. Continue to recall this happy moment and others like it often and watch a smile come over your face.
We can all learn from these words of wisdom from the French philosopher Michel Montaigne:
“A man is not hurt so much by what happens as by his opinion of what happens.”
Put yourself in the place of another impartial person and notice how different things look. You can increase your self-awareness and learn a lot about yourself this way.
You may also find it helpful to view situations through the eyes of a highly successful person you admire. Looking through the eyes of overcomers like Oprah Winfrey and Deepak Chopra can give you a new perspective on any situation. How might they
respond to your situation? Would they whine and complain? Would they give up? You may notice that you can draw on their strength and feel better right away.
This is very practical, powerful, and in the long run essential to your success. Your natural state is well-being on all levels – body, emotions, mind and spirit. Resistance to what is reduces your well-being and causes stress.
The more you stop resisting what is, the better you feel and the more easily you can move in the direction of your dreams.
This reminds us of the life-changing Serenity Prayer:
“God grant me the serenity
to accept things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.”
If this little prayer brightens your spirits as it does ours, write it down, post it where you can see it often, memorize it, and repeat it to yourself when you find yourself resisting what is. It will retrain your mind to respond in a positive way.
Go with the flow. This will reduce your day-to-day stress dramatically and life will become much more enjoyable.
And of course EFT tapping is a fantastic way to remove stress.
Actually, using tips like those above and the EFT Technique will take you beyond stress management, into the more desirable realms of love, happiness and success.
You don’t need to settle for stress and suffering.Want less stress and more happiness, love and success?

Phillip Mountrose, veteran coach-trainer-author, shares 5 keys on how you can become your own holistic coach. Turn on your speakers and
Becoming a holistic coach can be the opportunity of a lifetime for people who want to “be the change you wish to see in the world.” Its for those who are ready for profound personal growth, and, if desired, professional growth.
1. Those who want greater personal and spiritual growth, who want to learn more deeply how to manifest – which includes having tools to fully live their life purpose
3. Those seeking a compliment to their life: business, teacher, housewife, or other fields
4. Those who want to accelerate their spiritual evolution
Drawing from Wallace Wattles’ The Science of Getting Rich and many years of experience and research, Phillip Mountrose shares 4 essential keys to consciously living your dreams.
Turn on your speakers and watch this 4-minute video…
Is your thinking right? Phillip Mountrose shows you how to increase your positive thinking by overcoming negative thoughts in this short video. He describes 3 “mental trip wires” that can throw you off.
Positive thinking is a good thing but what about all those negative thoughts you have?
You may want a better relationship or income, but are you focusing on the positive or the negative?
Here are three common “mental trip wires” that can set us off on the wrong track, sometimes surprisingly quickly, maybe without us even knowing it.
You may have heard the wise advice, “criticize the behavior, not the child.” A child yelling in public doesn’t mean the child is “bad.” There may be some adjusting involved, but that doesn’t invalidate the child’s self-worth.
So too with adults. When we label ourselves or others as being “bad’ or “stupid,” for example, that doesn’t do anything but make us feel lousy.
Try to improve and use feedback to your advantage, not as a measure of your value as a human being.
2. Focusing too much on the negative.
“That project is a failure.” “It never works out for me.” “It looks like it won’t happen for me, again.”
When we focus too much on the negative, we often fall prey to absolutist language — “it always fails;” “it never goes my way,” etc.
Get the feedback you need again, reset and move on.
The third trip wire goes off when we see ourselves as a victim. Fill in the blank: “I can’t succeed because of ________ [my family, my education, the government, etc.].
The idea is to realize things influence us yet we control our response and our thinking. The idea is to take as much responsibility for ourselves as we can.
Quantum physics tells us we are all connected, regardless of location. This “nonlocality” means we can switch our thoughts in an instant. We can use virtually anything to help us, rather than hinder us.
Of course EFT can help us change from negative to positive thinking, often quite quickly.
We can be aware of our thoughts and avoid these 3 mental trip wires. A much happier you will result.

How well do you coach yourself?
Whether you coach others or not, here are some core coaching concepts you can apply to yourself. They will help your relationships as well.
As you read these five tips, there are some thought-provoking questions to answer. To coach yourself, you’ll need focus and attention.
1. Master your self-talk.
Thousands of thoughts pass our mind-body each day. Most go unnoticed — which can be the problem. As you start to notice what you say to yourself, you might realize you can be unkind to yourself. (“I’m stupid/ugly/a loser,” etc.)
The idea is to find the good thoughts (the positive, encouraging and constructive) and emphasize those, while ignoring the negative chatter. The more you focus on the positive, the more those become dominating thoughts. Then you also keep adding good stuff from your life (resources and people).
In effect, tune out the negative and tune in to the positive channels.
So instead of saying, “I’m an idiot, not worth a damn,” how about, “I am smart, wonderful, resourceful — a winner!”
Doesn’t that sound better? That’s the way to treat yourself!
Watch your thoughts and, for best results, incorporate the rest of the tips.
2. Set goals.
You’ve heard that before. Do you have written goals?
Visualize your dream life: the things, income, people, travel, free time, and more… Above all, have a chief aim — a big goal that is believable and achievable.
Goals give you something to shoot for. They help you be a creator, and transcend victim thinking (see tip #1). If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up somewhere else.
3. Be in the moment.
Even though it’s wise to have longer-term goals, you live from moment to moment. That means you can only take your next step. It’s best to make the most of it and appreciate what’s happening today.
Interestingly, our hunter-gatherer ancestors had to be present just to eat and stay alive. For most of us, it’s not about surviving… but thriving. To live abundantly, it takes mindfully living in the present.
4. Follow through.
If you decide on something – say a goal – act on it right away. Tell yourself you are good for your word.
It can be a small action. Just take some action.
How often have you neglected to call someone back? How often have you “forgotten” to exercise?
Following your passion when starting is exciting. After the excitement leaves, though, following through takes character and discipline.
Not following through sets off a negative chain of events. Following through will set off a positive cycle.
If your goal is a new career like coaching, your immediate goal could be to research resources (coaching books or courses). If your goal is a romantic relationship, treat yourself like you want to be treated. Smile at yourself in the mirror, for example.
5. Be a connector. (bonus tip)
Now that you have the first four tips under way — positive self-talk, setting goals, being in the moment and following through — be aware of intentionally connecting with others.
Now that you are smiling at yourself, start smiling regularly at others, even strangers. Pay genuine compliments to people. Call people by their first name and ask how they are doing. Listen intently to what they say.
All of this can make a BIG difference in how others regard you and how you regard yourself. You will expand your connections, and a greater confidence will result.
Which of the 5 coaching tips has the most energy for you?… That’s a coaching question. Coaching is about asking questions so the truth can be discovered and good choices made.
Ultimately, coaching is staying connected. First you connect deeper with yourself, then that radiates out to everyone you meet.
You can do it!

What’s one of the biggest secrets to success? Taking action is one of the big ones, and is often overlooked. It can be inspired action, deliberate acion or just your next logical step to move forward.
CAUTIOUS OR PASSIONATE?
The ends of the continuum for taking action is action and passion. My wife and partner Jane tends toward caution; I tend toward passion.
Caution can be good at evaluating, but the downside is to get too analytical, perfectionistic and mired in weighing all the possibilities.
Passion, on the other hand, acts on exciting desires. It can be impulsive, however. I can already be doing something, starting a project, before Jane has begun considering it.
We are a good balance for each other. I can spur her forward, she can reign in and prevent reckless actions.
NAPOLEON HILL’S DISCOVERY
Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, assessed thousands of successful people. The common trait he found in successful people was decisiveness. They were quick to act and followed through on their decision.
So model yourself after successful people, regardless of whether you favor the cautious or passionate approach.
Have a sense of urgency without being driven or desperate. Be calm and deliberate. As Wallace Wattles advised in his classic The Science of Getting Rich “to act in a certain way.” He meant to think creatively and then act on those dreams in a calm way, without hurry or rush. Act confidently in other words.
MAKING YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE
When you act, you externalize your desires and dreams so they manifest in the world.
What then is your next step, your next action? Go for it.

Why have an attractive personality? Well there are many reasons. Not just superficial ones. By being more magnetic, you can accomplish your aims and goals better. If you are attractive, you feel better about yourself.
We are not just talking about physical beauty, ala being a movie star good looks. Everyone can look his or her best.
So this piece is about how to shape yourself into a more attractive person, which leads to becoming a more successful person. Sound good?
Here are some don’t’s for having an attractive personality:
Instead of being a pleaser person, have a pleasing personality. This means you will design your life to be a more attractive and magnetic person, which will help you and others.
Do’s for developing an attractive personality:
In other words, become more aware of yourself and how you affect others. By developing these positive traits and eliminating the negative ones, your life will get so much better.
Go for it.
When people are near death what is their most common regret? It’s the regret that they didn’t take opportunities that presented themselves.
“I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me,” as caretaker Bronnie Ware observed.
So let’s take a deeper look at a certain gushing energy drain, one which most of us are not even aware of.
Here’s the good news: If you can fix this energy drain, your chances of success and making a contribution can skyrocket!
TOO MUCH “INNER CONSIDERING”
George Gurdjieff, the Armenian sage of the last century, called this limitation “inner considering.” By that he meant our habit of worrying what others may think.
Let’s put things in context. Trying to fit in is normal for teenagers. Being accepted by your peers is a developmental stage.
This trying to fit in doesn’t stop during our teens, however. Adults still spend much fruitless time trying to please others. As if lost in a maze, we are then subject to whatever we are guessing others are thinking or might say about us.
As you become aware of your thoughts, and your desire for a greater life strengthens, a certain truth emerges…
You can’t inner consider others and follow your own guidance. Try to please everyone and just about no one will be satisfied. You’ll lose respect from others and yourself.[contentbox width=”400″ borderwidth=”1″ borderstyle=”none” bordercolor=”000000″ dropshadow=”0″ backgroundcolor=”F5F5F5″ radius=”0″]
A REVEALING STORY
Phillip once coached a lively woman who had a verbally abusive husband. The relationship came to a head when the husband issued 17 demands to her. In order to stay married to him, she must follow all of them.
In the next counseling session, Phillip figured this was the perfect opportunity for her to leave a difficult marriage, an easy way out.
When he asked her what she was going to do, she quickly replied, “Follow the demands. I could never get a divorce. This is a small community and what would people think if I got divorced?”[/contentbox]
TIME FOR “EXTERNAL CONSIDERING”
Gurdjieff recommended a remedy for inner considering. The solution? To externally consider.
This meant to genuinely serve others, not out of fear and obligation, but sincerely helping when you are guided to serve others.
From this inner-directed place, your service expresses your spirit and can bring out the spirit in others.
Another remedy for worrying about others is EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).
“Even though I’m worrying what _____ will think, I can still follow my heart and love and accept myself.” Then start tapping…
BECOMING MORE SELF-AWARE
To be willing to dream may take some courage. You need to step out of the crowd and claim a better life for yourself.
Ironically, probably the best chance to genuinely help others is to follow your own bliss and purpose.
In other words, you no longer need to dwell on whatever you imagine others are thinking about you. Instead, just focus on following your higher purpose, which benefits you and others.
Yes, be aware of others. And above all, be self-aware of your own thoughts, feelings and actions. “To thine own self be true,” as Shakespeare advised.
Following this course will lead to a life of fulfillment, without those final regrets of having missed your calling.
Then your actions will more naturally flow from a loving place, regardless of what the neighbors might think.
