How to Stay Positive with Success Thinking

A 30-Day “Awesome Success” Challenge

Are you looking for a way to achieve more success in your business and your life? If so, learning how to stay positive will help you to get on track and stay on track. The purpose of a 30-day “Awesome Success” Challenge is to hone in on a single area of focus to create the results you want.

You may have read the article on this site: ” Why Subconscious Reprogramming is a Critical Life Coaching Skill.” This important point is often overlooked and this is a key reason success evades so many people. On the surface of your awareness, in your conscious mind, you may think that you want to achieve success and you may be wondering why it isn’t happening.

The answer lies in your subconscious mind. This is where everything you learned early in life, your subconscious programming, is stored.

HERE’S THE BAD NEWS. Most people have a lot of negative subconscious programs working against them.

Here are some examples:

Life is difficult. (This kills excitement and enthusiasm.)

You have to work hard for every penny you earn. (This makes it difficult to feel abundant.)

You’ll never amount to anything. (A lot of people were raised with some variation on this statement, which kills ambition.)

Rich people are greedy and I don’t want to be like them. (This sends money away from you.)

No one in my family has had much success. (This suggests that you won’t have much either.)

I’ll never get out of debt. (This is a self-fulfilling prophecy.)

If any of these thoughts sound familiar, you’re not alone. These kinds of success stealers are surprisingly common and most people pay little or no attention to them.

How can you tell what’s going on in your subconscious mind?

If you reflect on it for a moment, you may be able to uncover more success stealers rambling around in the recesses of your mind. Consider this:

We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible.

– C. MALESHERBEX

Sounds obvious, doesn’t it? The fact is that the way you feel, the things that you have, and the things that are happening in your life today are the direct results of your thinking. If you feel like you are in a rut, never seem to have enough money, and opportunities to change your situation seem to be scarce, it’s time to take a close look at your thinking.

How You Can Stay Positive

In his classic audio, “The Strangest Secret,” personal growth pioneer Earl Nightingale made a statement that has transformed countless thousands of lives. He said:

“You become what you think about most of the time.”

This is a powerful truth. To create an extraordinary life, you must master success thinking, which is essentially being more positive.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself. As you do this, be honest with yourself. No one else will know.

1. On the average day, do you think more about what you want to create or is your mind filled with thoughts about things that are not going your way?

2. Do you dare to think about what you most want in life or do you stop yourself because you think your dreams won’t ever come true?

3. If you could believe that more is possible, would you be willing to focus on changing your thinking?

HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS! More IS possible and everyone can benefit from changing their thinking.

Put Your Thinking to work FOR You Instead of Against You

Your subconscious programming is habitual thinking and it can change. With focus, anyone can learn how to stay positive. This is where the 30-Day Challenge comes in. This is a powerful Success Coaching tool that you can use to virtually transform your life. Here’s an earlier blog post on this subject: “30-day Awesome Success Challenge: Thoughts Are Things.”

Studies show that it takes about 30 consecutive days to change a habit. If you focus on just one or two positive thoughts for 30 days, your life can change in magical ways.

Here are some examples of powerful positive thoughts. As you read, each one, read it aloud a few times and notice how it feels. Also notice how it differs from your usual thoughts.

Positive change comes easily to me.

Something wonderful is happening today.

I know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise.

I see positive potential in everyone, including myself.

Your 30-Day “Awesome Success” Challenge

To begin, pick one of these statements and make it the focus of positive thinking for the next 30 days. Mark your calendar and start right away, before you forget. To remind yourself, write your success statement on sticky notes and put them everywhere – on your bathroom mirror, refrigerator door, computer, in your car, virtually every place you can think to put them.

Say your “magic phrase” aloud and in your mind often and watch for indications that it is true. For example, if you choose “Something wonderful is happening today,” watch for wonderful things and they are bound to show up.

This exercise doesn’t actually take any time, because you can do it while you are doing the things you are doing now. This means “no time” is not an excuse. Try it – it’s worth it. You may be surprised to see how quickly your life will change when you learn how to be more positive. This is the power of success thinking.
