What is Holistic Learning?

I see it. I hear it. I touch it.

That’s how we learn, by using our senses. The more you can use all your senses, the better the learning, as research confirms. We also each have a preferred way of learning.

Using a multi-sensory approach — namely, visual, auditory, kinesthetic (sensing), and even tasting and smelling — is how we experience holistic learning.  Also realize that we learn from our external senses and our internal ones.

Arguably, our inner senses are vaster and more powerful. Even though the outer world holds endless wonders, our imagination offers far more.

We can “see” an endless array of images in our minds. Regarding hearing, Beethoven wrote his 9th Symphony, his crowning work, after he became deaf.

“What wants to change?”

Yes just consider something different if you’d like a change. Open your mind beyond logic and reason. Let all those other possibilities have a chance to come into focus.

You can also visualize your current situation like Phillip did in the video (a lone tree on a hillside with dark clouds) and see it change (to a flourishing tree in a sunlit landscape with rich foliage around).

Powerful Question Two:

“What does your guidance say?”

Let your intuition, your inner wisdom, in on your situation. See its take. You can go into a nature setting, or visualize one, to help you access a deeper awareness. We have a soul centering process in our Getting Thru to Your Soul material.

Deep soulful insights can result.

And it can be very simple, such as “relax.” Or something else…

Powerful Question Three:

“How can I enjoy the journey now?”

It is about the journey, which occupies most of our time, not just the destination. What floats your boat, inspires you to live and create more: serving, researching, creating, performing?

Go for it and integrate that into your life.

“What if it was all working out well?”

It depends how you look at it. What seems like a problem may be an opportunity in disguise, if you ask the right question and use your situation to spur growth.

Two Tips

Here are two tips to have a great day each day. These tips are drawn from our book Tap into the Power of Love and Happiness with EFT: 12 Simple Ways to Have a Great Day Every Day at Amazon.

Learn how to tap into the power of love and the power of the mind and have a great day, every day. In other words, boost your love and happiness. One is gratitude. But it can be more than listing off what you are grateful for, although that can be good too.

What’s better is explaining aloud, or in writing, why you are grateful. “I’m grateful for my partner because…. she is wonderful and caring. She’s steadfast and always there for me.”

Instead of I’m grateful for my job, list what you like about it (the people, the assignments, the creativity, the conditions,,, you get the idea). Gratitude is more than just being thankful and appreciative. It is a powerful energy that can catapult your day into the happiness zone. Start and end your day with gratitude.

And…

Second is affirmations. Say good things about yourself, aloud. Practice in the mirror. “I am a great person, a success magnet.” “Wonderful things are happening today!” Say it about yourself with energy and enthusiasm. Use big gestures like outspread arms. Have a great day today. /
