He emphasized finding ways to embody a space that lights you up, which serves yourself and others. This light-you-up spot is the \u201chappy point, the juice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5309\" src=\"https:\/\/gettingthru.org\/life-coach\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/sun-3130638_640.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"331\" height=\"220\" \/>The phrase \u201cwhat lights you up\u201d contains many wonderful elements. Let\u2019s unpack four of its treasures, so we can use them to create an extraordinarily fulfilling life.<\/p>\n<p>As a note, know that the \u201clighting up\u201d can come from within or without. Internally, we may get sparked by a thought, feeling, memory or energy state. Externally, we might connect with a person, place, event or thing.<\/p>\n<p>What lights you up has all of the following elements:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><strong> 1. Having more energy and enthusiasm<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>What gets you going, moves you quickly out of bed and keeps you on track?<\/p>\n<p>It can be a multifaceted activity like a project, such as writing a book or giving a class. Or you can generate good feelings like hope, enthusiasm and bliss from the way you live your life.<\/p>\n<p>Tapping into your higher energy is a wonderful part of your journey \u2500 something to appreciate, value and use as a reference.<\/p>\n<h2><strong> 2. Getting inspiration<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>&#8220;Inspire&#8221; includes the original meaning of \u201cto breathe into.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Consider what <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">can<\/span> you can take in that makes you feel good in a healthy way. What works for you and leads you to where you want to go, helping you to become who you want to be?<\/p>\n<p>Inspiration can come from a beautiful building, clouds in the sky, a poignant movie, a stunning picture, spine-tingling music, an endearing pet, a transformative meditation\u2026 just to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>Suddenly, you then feel part of something larger. You see things from a higher perspective, and your world expands.<\/p>\n<p>You then feel yourself in the moment.<\/p>\n<p>You are now living your life in the world, even though you are also aware that you are not of this world. In effect, you are following your heart.<\/p>\n<h2><strong> 3. Following your passion and calling<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Things you really enjoy light you up. If you keep following this light and connect the dots, your passions <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">are<\/span> get embodied and your purpose unfolds.<\/p>\n<p>You hear the music of your soul and your life. The world becomes more enchanting, even if still <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">very<\/span> challenging at times. But this light infuses life with wonder, delight and creativity.<\/p>\n<h2><strong> 4. Having focus and relaxed alertness<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Even though you are lit up, you still can be calm and alert, focusing on what you desire and in the moment.\u00a0 As you are lit up, you can see more and can be more.<\/p>\n<p>You can interrupt and avoid momentums.\u00a0 You can prioritize and give attention to what is important.\u00a0 Letting go and realizing that much is unnecessary, you tune out the noise. You tune into the signals that matter.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Getting Lit Up Exercise<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It may be easy to connect and get lit up\u2014 or it may be difficult getting started.\u00a0 Maybe you are in a tough place, dealing with stress, loss, or lack of meaning. If nothing inspirational comes to mind, here is a suggestion.<\/p>\n<p>Get centered (breathe and be quiet for a moment).\u00a0 Then write a list on what might light you up.\u00a0 Consider the following:<\/p>\n<p>Being with people you like and love<\/p>\n<p>Learning (reading, media, podcasts, researching)<\/p>\n<p>Traveling<\/p>\n<p>Being creative (artwork, music, writing, filming, giving classes)<\/p>\n<p>Hobbies<\/p>\n<p>Spiritual inner work: meditation, <a href=\"https:\/\/gettingthru.org\/life-coach\/sc3467\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">soul centering<\/a>, retreats, nature walks<\/p>\n<p>Use you list as a reference going forward.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Final Thoughts<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>With following the light, your world lights up. Sometimes it is <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">a<\/span> fireworks, sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel.<\/p>\n<p>[pullquote align=&#8221;normal&#8221;]With following the light, your world lights up. As you follow the light, much comes into view, including new discoveries and synchronicities.<\/p>\n<p>To recap, your lit-up energy can boost and even supercharge your life. It gives you energy, inspiration, purpose and focus.<\/p>\n<p>So what lights you up?\u00a0 Find a light, however small or seemingly insignificant. Whatever it is \u2500 which can change and evolve from moment to moment \u2500 follow it.
