In the Moment: Do Your Best

The moment passes quickly.
Catch it before it passes; it will not last.
Until the next moment appears …

Actually, you can’t catch the moment.
You can’t hold or possess it.

You can store the moment in your memory
for future use and enrichment, and have it
be more a part of yourself.

What can you do with each moment?
Experience it,
Appreciate it,
Use it.

In the end, you can only do your best
participating in the many moments
that make up your life.


Wealth & Happiness: Are You Buying Happiness?

What do you spend your money on? Part of happiness and wealth comes from how we spend our money.


Social scientists and researchers explore the ways people spend money and how it creates happiness. They sometimes divide spending into two basic categories: spending money on things and spending money on experiences.

Both areas can be rewarding or wasteful, depending on how you use that symbolic paper or credit that you have. Plus it’s not an either/or choice, with one way being better than the other.

Here are a few points to note…


Overcoming the Top Three Energy Blocks

Clearing emotional and energy blocks is essential for personal and professional growth and self-development.

There are many obstacles as we progress through life. Some energy or emotional blocks are common– yet they can be quite obstinate to remove, even if hidden in plain sight.

They can stop you in your tracks. Here are three big, common showstoppers and a way to overcome each of them.

1. Pleasing

Being likable and agreeable can be part of your social graces. But it can also be an anxiety-producing tendency: to be accepted and liked no matter what.

Create more by doing less? There is a “value of doing nothing,” as Pooh’s Little Instruction Book noted.

First, let’s clarify. What does it mean “to do” something? In today’s world doing is often filled with a crammed list of activities. We end up being overscheduled and overworked.

Multitasking, we seemingly “do” a lot, but we often sacrifice quality for quantity, swept up in a daily momentum. In truth, we are always “doing” something. But what is it we are actually doing?

As we dig deeper here, let’s see if we can figure out this unsolved “mystery of doing.”


4 Powerful Questions to Have a Great Day

Ask yourself any of these questions and you will be amazed at what happens…

Powerful Question One:

“What wants to change?”

Yes just consider something different if you’d like a change. Open your mind beyond logic and reason. Let all those other possibilities have a chance to come into focus.

You can also visualize your current situation like Phillip did in the video (a lone tree on a hillside with dark clouds) and see it change (to a flourishing tree in a sunlit landscape with rich foliage around).

Powerful Question Two:

“What does your guidance say?”

Let your intuition, your inner wisdom, in on your situation. See its take. You can go into a nature setting, or visualize one, to help you access a deeper awareness. We have a soul centering process in our Getting Thru to Your Soul material.

Deep soulful insights can result.

And it can be very simple, such as “relax.” Or something else…

Powerful Question Three:

“How can I enjoy the journey now?”

It is about the journey, which occupies most of our time, not just the destination. What floats your boat, inspires you to live and create more: serving, researching, creating, performing?

Go for it and integrate that into your life.

Powerful Question Four:

“What if it was all working out well?”

It depends how you look at it. What seems like a problem may be an opportunity in disguise, if you ask the right question and use your situation to spur growth.

Play and Have Fun: Happiness Tip

What is one of the most powerful things you can do to be happy?


As our colleague Susan Kerby shares in this inspiring video, you still need fun and play or you will become a dull girl or boy.

Happiness and love is about being in a good mood, having a higher vibration to experience wonderful things in your life. The happy vibes can boost your mood and health and be positive to others as well.

Two Tips

Here are two tips to have a great day each day. These tips are drawn from our book Tap into the Power of Love and Happiness with EFT: 12 Simple Ways to Have a Great Day Every Day at Amazon.

Learn how to tap into the power of love and the power of the mind and have a great day, every day. In other words, boost your love and happiness. One is gratitude. But it can be more than listing off what you are grateful for, although that can be good too.

What’s better is explaining aloud, or in writing, why you are grateful. “I’m grateful for my partner because…. she is wonderful and caring. She’s steadfast and always there for me.”

Instead of I’m grateful for my job, list what you like about it (the people, the assignments, the creativity, the conditions,,, you get the idea). Gratitude is more than just being thankful and appreciative. It is a powerful energy that can catapult your day into the happiness zone. Start and end your day with gratitude.


Second is affirmations. Say good things about yourself, aloud. Practice in the mirror. “I am a great person, a success magnet.” “Wonderful things are happening today!” Say it about yourself with energy and enthusiasm. Use big gestures like outspread arms. Have a great day today. /
